I didn't use the word 'competence' because I think Romney will be competent in most things, as Obama is. Smart, generally reasonable dude.

But, the one thing he's shown a passion for, evoking an feeling of expertise, IMO, is big financial-institution style capitalism. E.g., I thought he had some genuine responses to the story about the $4billion loss at Goldman Sachs (?). I admit to not paying a whole lot of attention, though.

Turn out to be a bad time for that area of expertise.
