Is there something bad about giving your doctors a bonus?

And that's the rub - the United Way is a non-profit, but they got in trouble with gold-plated exec packages. Yes, that can be a problem.

But at least Kaiser's bought and converted at least 3 office buildings in this area to medical office use, to try to get ahead of the curve on the ACA. I don't know if a federal agency would have even gotten out of the planning stage by now. And, I suppose, even if there were a single PAYER system, the single payer would probably still need the HMOs and doctor groups to actually deliver the medical services.
