I was doing it on the cheap and I've never used Adobe After Effects before so I didn't want to spend any time figuring that out. The text was part of the pre-existing template which we customized.. I almost just removed it all together but it looked too plain without it. The text is actually snippets of the Declaration of Independence, but we'll see if it's readable on TV screens. Probably not. I totally agree with you though, stock photos would have been the way to go.
