I believe he confronted the kid, and that Martin is probably the one who got physical first after taking offense to being harassed and so obviously profiled.

I don't know where that lands within their little hillbilly laws, but I think it would be very difficult to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that Zimmerman initiated anything physical or that there was any kind of intent to kill.
