If it could be proven that Zimmerman initiated the conflict (and this seems reasonable when you look at the evidence), then he is responsible for the conflict, and I would think that stand your ground becomes undermined.

If he is the initiater, then Trayvon had just as much right to defend himself from the threat Martin posed.

Stand your ground doesn't cover someone picking a fight and then when that fight ensues to blast on him in self defense.
