Democrats/Republicans are both entrenched in the pockets of big business. His campaign, like many other third party types (though he is running as a Republican) sees the publicity and effectiveness of his campaign as a part of his work. To foster disatisfaction with two parties that dominate coverage, yet are sorely invested in selves and not the people.

His campaign seeks to hold this accountable. He does not swallow up his integrity and principles like the water carriers. Even as a conservative, you can't be foolish enough to think that Romney will be exhaustively better than Obama. Only marginally.

So it is the system that needs to have light cast upon it. Paul is doing well at this. And his campaign is one that is accomplishing a LOT, even while losing. Perhaps one of the greatest losing campaigns of all time. He is doing a great job.

He has gotten ordinary people involved. He has changed the nature of how we debate topics. As a politician, he does what more reporters ought to do...forsake conventional thinking and push right/wrong.
