She's a little credulous, so take it with a grain of salt, but...

She heard that some kids in Tokyo had died of heart problems because of Fukushima. I scoffed, but the article I just posted mentioned that the particular radiation being released attacked muscles, including the heart. Hm.

Then she heard that the Japanese Mafia (whoever they are) hired a bunch of poor folks to clean up the irradiated area for something like $100 bucks an hour, wow! Supposedly 120 of them died, but nobody cares, because they're lowlifes. Maybe Koreans, even.

Personally, I'm not particularly paranoid, and hear people overblowing dangers all the time. But many people will lie for money, so there is probably a hell of a lot that we're not hearing about, including some stuff that may affect us.

I do suspect that this story is not over, despite conventional media wisdom, or whatever.
