And good luck coordinating a plan that involves traveling outside of major lines and or if you want to stay out past 10pm.

I do like taking BART to/from the airport though. I usually park at my friend's in Emeryville and take a short bus trip to the MacArthur station and from there straight to the airport. Not a whole lot longer than driving (and much faster if traffic is bad) Really nice way to do airport transportation IMO.
