Budgets through the roof. Seventeen trillion in debt (just think about that for a second).

Does any sane person think that's good?

Does any sane person think that's sustainable?

That's what the status quo has given us and our offspring. That's what many in Washington don't have a problem with, even the establishment Republicans. Guys like Boehner and Cantor talk a good game, but even they are afraid to fully endorse the Ryan budget, which is barely a step in the right direction.

The establishment Republicans, the Dems, and the media work to make sure that more establishment Republicans get elected; the ones who will are only moderately better fiscally than the Democrats.

As soon as someone (Tea Party, anyone) says "enough is enough" they are vilified by all of the above. Cut spending? Balance the budget? Live within our means? "RADICAL!!!!!!". "THEY WANT YOUR GRANDMA TO EAT DOG FOOD!!!!".

So please, you're all being dishonest because I refuse to believe that you're all that stupid as to not know that I'm right about this.

Obama has outspent Bush already. During the election he called Bush "unPatriotic" to add that much debt to the existing debt. He sure ain't saying that about himself, is he?

The economy is floundering. There has been a net loss of jobs since he took over. They stopped counting people just so they could say that the unemployment rate is "only" 8.2%. GDP growth is in the low twos. Housing is miserable. It took Reagan (never had a majority in both houses) almost two years to turn around what Carter left him. We're on three and a half with Obama. It's time to admit that it's not working folks.

The last time that we had a balanced budget is when the Conservatives did it for Clinton. It's time we look ourselves in the mirror and admit that we have to make tough choices. Apply Conservative principles: We must cut spending. We must have a competitive corporate tax rate. We must have a sane energy policy. We must address entitlements before it's too late.

I can't promise that Romney would do all of that even if he had both houses, but I'm betting that he can do a helluva lot better than what we have now.
