I was taken to jail in handcuffs for being late to school when I was 14. White skin, but long hair, in a time and place where that was a red flag to certain types.

They made up a lame-ass story to justify it after the fact, but they were really just harassing me and my friend.

Eventually I cut my hair short, and from then on I was a respectable member of society, just like that!
