very interesting...this data appears to contradict another salt-cycle theory

The theory is that the gulf stream is dependent on the salt flushing cycle in the Atlantic. But the new data shows increased salinity in the North Atlantic. I guess this is great news for Europe. Still the same bad news for dry areas though.
