"just don't think the link is really proof of anything without the context of the analysis of the frequency of those record highs vs record lows, or longer term trend data"
Again, I'm not trying to prove anything. If you look at my post, I don't say "Heatwave makes deniers cry" or anything like that. It's two MASSIVE heatwaves of historic proportions in two months. I agree they don't prove anything. I do think it's damn interesting.
"if you have that analysis about the far higher frequency of record highs vs. record lows, that would be different"
I posted that on here in March. No one pays attention to my posts on the subject, though... well, except for stuff like this. LOL... here's a more political piece, but it has the right stats:

"put another way - would the data you posted on a couple months of hot weather, by itself, be accepted as a new publication in a (good) peer-reviewed journal as proof of GW? obviously not"
Hell no... of course it wouldn't. Again, that's not the issue here. The issue, as I see it, is whether there is any point to me posting about freakish weather. Personally, in light of the fact that global warming is happening, I think the hottest day ever in the US in April is kind of interesting. You don't?
