Point: when you zoom all the way out, for a large country, running a trade surplus for too long means you are doing all the work and getting "nothing" in return. What good are US dollars to you? Your people can't eat it or wear it. Make those lazy Americans ship something to us, so we can get rid of some of those dollars.
