I think you are missing the point completely.

There is nothing I disagree with in your analysis.

However. And I make this point one last time.

To make any statement about Hitler to the B'nai brith or any other Jewish organization or community is fraught with danger. The 4 bad things you mention (which are all horrible) are NOT the main reasons why. The main reason is because the Jews were the #1 people Hitler was trying to exterminate. These are the survivors, who saw the horror done to their own families. To you and me, Hitler is a moral outrage for the reasons you outline. For the surviving Jews (and others Hitler was trying to exterminate), it's that AND it's deeply personal.

For the Miami Cubans and Castro, it's that same personal victimhood that is at stake. You don't go there with them. The important thing is, a single person is identified as the source of the hurt, and that person had it in personally for the victims. And the people holding the grudge were that person's victims. Bonus points to Castro for surviving all these years, in power, to deny these survivors any sense of justice.

He could be their Kim Jong Il, you'd have to ask the Koreans who fled and now live elsewhere about what they think as to whether there's this deep-seated personal fear and hatred for Kim himself. Maybe some Russian expats feel the same about Stalin, I don't know. Maybe Cambodian survivors of Pol Pot's regime.
