to nothing more than a railroad upgrade at a huge cost to the taxpayer, for benefit of marginally few, at an unsustainable (and ultimately heavily subsidized service) rates.
Anyhoo....its been a boondoggle since day 1, its an insider establishment play to carve up monies to buy off politicians along the proposed route (hence the real failure that nobody talks about).
I said this many years ago, and its true to this very day..the numbers were always bullshit, it was always going to be stupidly unfeasible from a fiscal perspective, and ridership was never ever going to be anywhere near the utopians wet dream.....taxpayer ripoff, boondoggle.
