False, my take has been that there is significant ambiguity involved here

That would make conviction in a jury trial difficult.

Most of the witnesses are not eyewitnesses. They heard screaming from their kitchens. You do have one eyewitness who says, "The guy on the bottom who had a red sweater on was yelling to me: 'help, help.'"

As to the fighting aspect, it had been stated here repeatedly that the self-defense claim -- the singular most important part of this entire story from a legal standpoint -- was impossible given that it was some grown man vs a high schooler. A high schooler from the hood that happened to be half a foot taller than him.

So, yeah...

Anyhow, in the end, it comes down to getting 12 people to believe beyond a reasonable doubt that Zimmerman did not need to defend himself. That may happen yet, with a manslaughter charge of some kind, but that's no slam dunk with some of the evidence being put forward. Like, at all.

Irony is that neither one of us would make that jury, lol.
