My uncle is well acquainted with homicide investigations, to put it mildly. Not going to out him, but suffice to say, he has been the guy in charge of it all on hundreds of murders.

There was a murder of a Vietnamese immigrant in his car in an empty parking lot years ago, and when the investigators showed and started asking questions, no one would even been seen speaking to them.

No speaky English, ok by now!

There is NO physical evidence besides the bullet, either. Killer was never in the car. Just walked up as guy was leaving work, bam and left. No witnesses or anything.

My dad is listening to these guys talk about all this, and one of them says, "I guess we aren't going to see [well known DA that they worked for] for this one."

LOL

They did in fact end up solving the case, on a fairly lucky break, IIRC. A love triangle with the guy's wife gone wrong.
