Probably more fruitful to focus on what people actually do.

And what Obama has actually done so far has been pretty solidly right of center. Not much more profoundly liberal than Richard Nixon, if you focus on actions rather than words. That's why the attempts to make him seem radical are getting so desperate and far-fetched. It's like trying to cast Betty White as Snookie, or Amy Whinehouse.
