That same guy said later on:

“If you’re making $50,000 and your salary gets down to $40,000 and you have to cut, it’s very severe to you. But it’s no less severe to these other people with these big numbers.”

Yeah, those people making $50,000 having to cut when they go down to $40,000 probably don't have a handful of six-figure cars, $1.5 million houses, all their kids in private schools, spending $17,000 a year on their two dogs including $34 every time someone walks them, etc.

Come on, Alan. Yeah, it's great to have a job where you can get a $500,000 bonus every year for who knows what. But then you can't "survive" if it goes down to $350,000? Be thankful you still HAVE that job.
