As in, slap us upside the head and take away all of our toys until we learn to behave.

Sometimes I think the upside to the global economy coupled with multinational corporate wealth and the rise of an uber-wealthy class will be a check on man's natural inclination to turn any new discovery into a weapon and go blow up his enemy du jour. If too much wealth is at stake perhaps that will slow down a bit.

But probably that's naive and starry eyed.
