Seriously, that meeting was historic in several ways. I remember the theater that surrounded it--I suspect many people do--as if it were yesterday. The GOP spin afterwards was that Obama had been a loudmouth and clearly out of his league. This report by a participant (and not just any participant), serves to show exactly how ridiculous the GOP spin was.
It's worth noting that the style of the GOP in the current atmosphere greatly resembles McCain's failed gambit described in the article. In short: maximum theater and rhetoric, with no plan.
