These debates have provided him with the perfect platform to display himself as national leader as opposed to a national celebrity. The GOP has made it clear that they're going to attempt to exploit the notion that America doesn't really know this man - too mysterious, too cultish, too dangerous.

And Obama is just making that attack look terribly impotent right now.

He has the charisma, he has the look, he has the issues, and he certainly has the political environment on his side. His last challenge, and McCain's last real hope, is providing a sense of familiarity and comfort. And he's been very successful at that in these debates, IMO.
