From what I've read in the media, and gleaned from individuals who have recently returned from Europe, their exists a definite "holier-than-thou" brand of anti-Americanism on that continent.
But that's not even my real issue...I'll admit that I have an agenda: I can't stand people who constantly bash the US for its faults, while refusing to recognize the immense good it has done and continues to do for the world. These people also like to downplay the significant wrongdoing present in other parts of the world, including Western Europe. America is far from perfect, but when you're making judgments, it's really all relative.
