It doesn't matter if the Avengers sucks or not, so long as they double their money in the first weekend. And if that happens, they know they can probably do the same for like 3-4 sequels of the same franchise.

I haven't watched Hollywood movies since forever. That market you are talking about belongs to Sundance, IFC and art house theaters now, which Hollywood is cool with.
