That's because Devante gets credit for the sound as he was the main songwriter and producer for the group. He was also Timbaland's mentor. Devante is the man that discovered artists like Missy Elliot, Magoo, and Ginuwine.

Such a shame that they haven't put out a new album since 1995.

It's no surprise to see them where they are now, as they've been getting drunk and high backstage since there debut in 91.
