So Lebron could be the youngest player to hit 20,000 tonight, & will catch Mitch this season

Kobe should pass Wilt for #4 on the all time scoring list this season, and will probably pass Michael Jordan next season.

If Antawn could just get some playing time, he could become one of just 39 players in NBA history to hit 20,000 (assuming Lebron doesn't spontaneously combust first.)

Doesn't look like anyone's going to hit the 30,000 mark any time soon. Kobe just made it, but next in line among active players is Garnett, still needing more than 5,000 more. Not likely to make it. Same with Dirk, needing almost 6,000 - though he's a freak, so who knows. But really, the next one to hit the 30,000 mark is likely to be... Lebron. He scored 1,683 last season, so say he comes close to that for the next few seasons, he should hit 30,000 in 6 years.

Seems like Kareem's record is safe for a while, though. Kobe would need 7,768 more points, which, at last season's 1,616 point clip, would take him almost 5 more years. Doesn't seem likely. And Lebron would have to be a scoring machine until he was 40 to get there. That's a damn impressive record.
