Atlanta is one team that might be willing to take on Biedrins and send a couple expiring contracts to Memphis.

Atlanta has only $18MM in salary committed for next season (and a lot of roster spots to fill). Unless they think they're going to sign a couple max free agents, it may not take a ton of incentive for them to swap expirings for Biedrins--a guy who expires next year and who can (along with Pachulia) allow Horford to play PF next season.

I imagine that Rush would be a pretty attractive piece to Atlanta and the Warriors have to send out more than just Barnes and Biedrins/Jefferson in order to match Gay's salary.

GS trades Barnes, Biedrins, Rush for Gay, Wroten, Scott

Memphis trades Gay, Wroten, Selby for Barnes, Harris (exp), Morrow (exp)

Atlanta trades Harris, Morrow, Scott for Biedrins, Rush, Selby

A 2nd rounder or two could be added to the deal.

I can see ATL and MEM doing this, but I'm not yet convinced that Gay is worth Barnes (or his contract).
