Before I get bashed by Monta fans, let me say this.

I would never call Monta a "bad" player, I just think if he's the best player on your team, then you're not making the playoffs, and if he's your second best player, you're fighting for a #8 spot in the east.

Too much was expected of him here. He's an electric scorer, and a decent creator, but at the end of the day, he's a tweener guard, and those are best served coming off the bench as a sixth man (ala Jason Terry in his Dallas days).

I dont hate him, but tweener guards and tweener forwards are hard to build around. GSW wasn't going to be a serious team until they either traded him or decided to revamp the roster to conform to his game (more defensive minded players who didn't mind him taking 20 shots a game and dominating the ball)
