I think the Bogut thing has been mishandled, but let's think this thru before we make sweeping statements about a plot to fool fans into buying season tickets.
Landry (and Rush) was a commitment to spending a lot of money, when frankly a cheap owner wouldn't.
So if the plot was to lie about Bogut's true procedure so that they could sell, what? 1000 extra season tickets at let's say an average of $5k? That's 5 million.
Wouldn't it have been easier to just say, "hey, we have Barnes and RJ at SF (no need for Rush), and Landry had a better offer elsewhere"?
The Bogut stuff sucks, but no need to start crafting up tin foil headwear.
