agreed. that "third tier" has some great potential... think of it this way...

this past year's draft you have the option of drafting 6th or 7th, or you have the chance of trading back for two late lotto picks...


you could have drafted Vesley or Bismack... or you did your scouting and were high on Klay AND Kawhi.


I know some will be unhappy with that as an argument, but my point is, if Jerry West (or whoever has the loudest voice in the draft war room) likes a player like Perry Jones, Harkless, Henson or Marshall, then maybe you take the 14/16 deal and take a flier on two players with potential.


I'm not saying the Warriors want 4 or 5 rookies on this team, but the #16 >> their #30 and two second rounders.

this draft has a nice third tier of talent - and by third tier, I don't mean guys that will be bench players or possible starters... there's a potential to pick up a solid starter or two in the 10-20 range of this draft.

so if the Warriors are secretly not so high on the players being discussed #7-13, then the Houston deal makes some sense.
