Baylor forward Perry Jones III was in Oakland on Monday, working out for the Warriors in advance of the June 28 NBA draft.
Jones III , 6-foot-11 and 235 pounds, was part of a group that also included Kentucky’s Terrence Jones, North Carolina’s Tyler Zeller and Vanderbilt’s Festus Ezeli.
Jones III is considered one of the most athletic and gifted players in the draft, but there are concerns about his motivation. Jones III, who played two seasons at Baylor, acknowledged there are questions about his “motor,” but said the talk is overblown.
There are also questions about whether or not Jones III is a power forward or small forward, though he calls himself “versatile” and capable of playing either one.
After Jones’ III workout, he sat down and talked with reporters.
