They slow the flow too much. Fouls have made basketball close to unwatchable.

If a team gets fouled shooting, give them 2 points. If that inspires too much offensive flopping, give them 1 point. If that inspires too much defensive hacking, give them 1.5 points (that's a 75% free throw shooting percentage). If you don't want to go to fractional points, alternate giving them 2 points or 1 point every time they get fouled.
