The Portland Trail Blazers undoubtedly have been one of the NBA's most star-crossed franchises over the years.

This is, after all, the team that picked Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan and saw 2007 No. 1 overall pick Greg Oden's Portland career end after just 82 games because of injuries.

And this season has again been marked by injuries, turmoil and upheaval in Portland. Before the season began, Brandon Roy -- the 2006-2007 NBA Rookie of the Year and a three-time All-Star -- retired due to chronic knee issues. And All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge's season ended early when he had surgery on his ailing right hip.

Those and countless other examples have led some to talk about a “Blazers Curse.” And apparently it is not just fans and media members discussing the possibility.

ESPN.com asked Marcus Camby, who was traded to the Houston Rockets last month after two years in Portland, about the curse.

"They might not want to admit it, but when I was there, my goodness, people were saying, 'Are we really snake-bit? Are we really cursed?' " Camby said. "Doubts and talks like that came about. Everybody just tried to brush it to one side and remain positive, but it was hard to escape because everybody was talking about it. It’s hard to argue when it keeps happening year after year after year."
