I'm still trying to get over the hope that we purportedly had:
> an All-Star PF with machine-like 20-10 consistency;
> an "All-Star-caliber" SG with unstoppable scoring;
> a ROY-caliber PG with HOF potential;
> a veteran clutch-shooting, defensive-minded SF entering his prime from a championship team;
> a C entering his prime, supposedly dedicated to making a rebound (literally);
And a bench consisting of:
> a 6'6" sweet-shooting sixth-man who can play 3 positions;
> a 6'8" athletic, scoring forward who can shoot from the outside and post-up smaller forwards;
> a 6'10" shot-blocking, athletic, PF with a nice touch and loads of potential.
I recall that being one of the brightest futures in recent franchise history. Actually, every year, April through August seems like one of the brightest and most optimistic times in recent franchise history. So I guess it's that time of year again.

I want this team to be like the guy in the rated-R movie; you know, the guy you're not sure whether or not you like yet. You're not sure where he's coming from alright. Okay?"
