Six work out for Warriors

A pair of 6-foot-9 forwards, Louisville's Earl Clark and Wake Forest's James Johnson, were among six players to work out for the Warriors on Saturday. Included in the crowd were coach Don Nelson, general manager Larry Riley and president Robert Rowell.
USC senior small forward Marcus Johnson, Clemson guard K.C. Rivers, LSU guard Garrett Temple and DePaul swingman Dar Tucker rounded out the crop.
Clark and Johnson are similar players: athletic, skilled and versatile. Both could be lottery picks, though No. 7, where the Warriors pick, figures to be as high as they would go.
"About 15 people told me that (Nelson doesn't play rookies) when I told them I was working out for the Warriors," Clark said. "But I would have no problem having to earn his respect on the court."
