there is no vision in the front office from what I can tell. If you had to write a mission statement, it would be something like:
"Field an competitive and exciting team that can win at home, so that we draw good attendance. Avoid the luxury tax at all costs to optimize the bottom line. With 12 years of being bad, do not squander the recently regenerated fan interest by having a rebuilding year. Play hard ball with our own free agents so we do not overpay, but if things don't break right, be willing to open up the bank to get enough talent in as to not be uncompetitive".
