They were lucky Randolph fell to them and smart enough to snatch him up when he did, but I'm talking more about what the W's have done after the draft.

They used MAX cap space to sign a scoring 3 who doesn't pass. Not to put too much stock in statistics, but Maggette's assist to turnover ratio is less than one... that's shocking for a wing player who has the ball as much as he does.

Williams was a nice addition... the team needed a PG and he's a young one who should come in and contribute. He'll obviously have a chance to play alongside Ellis as the W's would be wise to give Ellis at least 10 minutes per night at his best position.

Turiaf is the big, burly F/C this team has lacked over the past two years. Evans is a serviceable G/F.

I don't dislike these players individually, but it's the transition from Baron Davis to MAX cap space, to capped out with a host of second tier guys that concerns me.

The W's are in a position to make additional moves, but spending their money differently wouldn't have precluded them from doing so.
