i don't think alex can climb out of the grave the niners dug for him by mishandling him. all the OCs, the different systems, and throwing him to the wolves too early have basically taken the gamer out of him. what you're left with is a game manager as his peak.

hope martz can do it. i have no problem being sincere in discussing alex smith. i also have no problem admitting if i'm wrong about him. niners above all else - i'm not warriors in 200x. i'd be happy to be wrong and welcome alex into my niners jerseydom if he becomes an all pro QB
