I think the Grizzlies would have interest in Monta Ellis and West did like Mickael Pietrus. I also think Tyrus Thomas would fit well in Nelson's uptempo attack... hence the hypothetical trade scenario.

This deal gives the Grizzlies MAX cap space(PJ and Eddie Jones off the books) this summer, a young PG for the future in Ellis and a half season to audition Pietrus before he hits restricted free agency. The Grizzlies also pick up another potential lotto pick in what should be a solid draft to go along with their own pick, which could be top three.
