Ellis is certainly more advanced and refined right now, but Thomas plays in a more rigid system and he doesn't play with the same class of playmaker as Baron Davis. He's a year younger than Ellis, fwiw.

I'd prefer a prototypical 7' PF freak, but you're not going to get one of those with Monta Ellis and Mickael Pietrus as trade bait.
