we'd all love a guy like KG, but they're so expensive to acquire from an asset standpoint(not that Ellis/Pietrus is cheap) and you usually need cap-friendly filler to round out your offer. The W's don't have the cap-friendly filler to cover a MAX-type contract and with the Bulls taking a serious look at Gasol, the W's might be able to pry Thomas. It's a long shot, but I think the Grizzlies would very much like a player like Ellis. He's young, cheap, and talented... he also addresses a need position.
